School Dayz

Arianna recently started her new pre-K class (her third year of pre-K) and Rylan started school for the very first time!  Arianna is a pro at the school schedule but Rylan is still taking some time to adjust to leaving Mom.  I am such a proud Mommy watching as my two little ones grow and mature into such amazing people.  Now already school age and one day they will be graduating as I will be holding back tears remembering days when they were this young and attached to Mommy and Daddy.

Arianna's first sleepover

I am back.  Yes, after weeks of MIA I am here and ready to start posting again.  Looking back over the many pictures I have taken, I am completely overwhelmed with the amount of events that have taken place.  So let me start off by writing about Arianna's first slumber party with great friend and cousin Mikalya.  This too was Mikayla's first sleepover, so it was definitely a momentous occasion in the girls lives.  I am glad I as able to capture many of the moments on camera.

The night was filled with movie watching, princess dressing, and pizza eating while little brother Rylan played along as one of the girls (which I have pictures I will bribe him with as he gets older.)  All three kids slept together on a queen mattress and ran around the house until midnight.  I have to say that they outlasted me and I passed out before they did.  All in all, the slumber party was a great success and I look forward to the many years of slumbering to come!

Past and Present

Back in the day when I worked for Verizon, I was fortunate enough to meet some very valuable people that have continued to be there throughout the milestones of my life.

This was us then...

Taking trips, partying and drinking when we had chance.

The day of my wedding...

                    And now 7 years later...

It's true we don't have many opportunities to see each other these days.  Life has become so complicated, so hectic with our everyday schedules and distance.  But no matter what, there is always a silent connection between us in which we can pick up where we left off, like time has never passed at all.  I am honored to be a part of these special women's lives.

thirty-one

It is hard to believe that I am now 31 years of age.  I feel like I am still a teenager on so many levels, but then I try to stand back and I look at my life and realize that I am so far removed from those carefree, spontaneous years - and THAT reality, I would not change for all the youth in the world.

Because I would miss out on moments like these....

We decided to spend my birthday at Hampton Beach.

Which turned into spending much of the day at the Hampton Beach playground and doing things that made the kids happy.  But it was all worth it to get smiles like these.

It brought me back to the first time I had fried dough at the beach.

That day I felt like a kid again.

Although it is nice to be young,  I feel it is even better to relive your youth through your children's eyes and share in their experiences.  The day I turned 31- though a simple day and not so extravagant to most - was an amazing day in time that I will always cherish, a day to be a kid again with my kids.

So here is to 31 and many more days filled with playgrounds, laughs, fried dough and happiness.  The years just keep getting better.

Three

Happy 3rd birthday, my amazing little man!  Mommy, Daddy and Arianna love you so much!  Although you are getting to be a big boy, you will always be our baby.

We love what you are, we love what we do...
Sweet boy of ours...
We will forever love you!

The little house

Located in the heart of Harwich, Cape Cod MA, resides what Arianna calls the "little house."  This quaint little cottage has been passed down throughout generations of the Howard family and is a special place for loved ones to come and visit during the warm summer months.  My in laws are kind enough to let us stay during our vacation weeks. There is something about Cape Cod that is just screams summer.  It is like a second home that always welcomes us upon each arrival.  Thank you, Ben and Dale for your continuous hospitality.

So simple, so quiet, so peaceful.

Soft wind, the waves and the laughter of youth upon the shore.
