Duval Gardens Family Day

Duval Gardens had it's annual Family Day this past weekend. Located so close to our house, we walked down to the festivities where we were greeted by an assortment of vintage cars from the 50's and 60's. Olive Garden and Smokey Bones were sponsors of the festival so everything was free! The kids snacked on pizza, cotton candy, snow cones, ice cream and other items that were sure to make them a complete mess and give them a sugar high. Also featured was a petting zoo, moon bouncers, balloon makers and Arianna's favorite - Cinderella and Belle. The entire family had a great time. We can't wait to go back next year!

First Day of Pre-K

September 1st was Arianna's first day of pre-k for the school year. Now I know that she attended the schools summer session, but for some reason this day really seemed like it was a big milestone in my little girl's life; after all, she did have a new teacher and class. Being the serious fashionista she is, Arianna picked out and color coordinated her entire first day outfit. I am not sure if she was more excited about wearing the new clothes, or going to her new class - who is to say, but she looked great and was ready to take on the preschool world.

We arrived to school and it was so sweet to see all of the new students and their excited parents eagerly taking pictures. I got a big kick out of the parents who were taking photos of the student name tags, the classroom doors, the teachers and so on. I probably would have been doing the same thing but forgot to take my camera to school :)

Arianna definitely had a great day and loved her teacher and all of her new fellow classmates. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for her!

Boston Children's Museum

Always looking to take the kids somewhere new and exciting, we gathered the troops and took them to the Boston Children's Museum and met up with Uncle Jeff, Auntie Eli and Cousin Dani. I thought that we may spend about an hour checking the place out but found that the building was absolutely huge with a new activity around every corner. Each room had a different theme, such as the Japanese room, construction zone, space room, beauty salon, grocery store, etc. The kids spent hours just running around and and having a great time. Any place that allows my tots to run free without me having to worry about what they will destroy is a major plus in my book. We will definitely go back and explore some more!
