15 Month Checkup

Yesterday I took Rylan to the Doctor's for his 15 month wellness check. Poor little guy had to get four shots and he already had a cold to boot. Overall, he did really well but had trimmed down a bit. He is on the tall and thin side but that is of no suprise as his Daddy is 6 foot 4 inches tall and was pretty slim until he married me :) Then again, I was pretty thin before I got married too! I guess that is what all the good eating and lovin will do to ya.

Here are Rylan's stats:

22 pounds 8 oz- 25th percentile
33 inches tall- 90th percentile

Surprisingly at Arianna's last checkup, she was in the same percentile groups.

Busy Body

I don't get much rest these days. Between Rylan and Arianna, my day is in constant motion. The older that Rylan gets, the more active he is becoming and the more exhausted I am from chasing him around. He is fearless when it comes to climbing on things and he loves trying to eat the dog food. The poor pugs are probably starving to death but I can't keep their food on the floor for fear Rylan will help himself to the tasty kibble. Today he tried to emerse himself into the oven as well as hang from the light fixture above our dining room table. Although he doesn't talk much, he sure is a man of action. I don't remember Arianna ever being this busy. It must be a boy thing!

Rylan is obsessed with the broom. He uses it like a hockey stick and swats at everything in his way. I think he is destined to become a great hockey player.

He is constantly sneaking up on the counter while I am not looking. Here he is helping himself to a bowl of chips I left out. His poor little face is covered in bruises (and food) from all of his falling lately. I feel like such a horrible mother when I notice how beat up he looks!

With his broom. Face covered in chocolate.

North Conway

This past weekend we took a little trip to North Conway New Hampshire. The ride up was a nightmare as we listened to Rylan vocalize his displeasure with having to sit still for several hours in his seat. After three hours and a few wrong turns, we arrived at the Condo and met up with my parents. We took a little while to relax and let the kids run free and explore the new environment. Arianna kept telling us how much she like her "new house." Ryan and I were able to get out and spend some time together while my Mom and Dad watched the kids. It was nice just to have a little break from our everyday choas. I am a little upset that I was not able to take more pictures, but here are some shots I got in while we were there:

Arianna loved the marshmallows

Bundled up and ready to go!

The kids spent most of the time on the deck with Grampy as he showed them what it was like to really rough it and cook food on sticks

Arianna takes a moment to play chess by herself. I think she won.

We had to block the steps off but Rylan kept pushing away any blockade we would create

Boo!

Friday night the kids got decked out in their costumes and ready for trick or treat action. Arianna decided to be a butterfly and Rylan became a red dragon. We waited for Ryan to get home and then took the kids over to Mem's living community to trick or treat. The kids met up with Mem and all of her friends and enjoyed the attention and of course the candy!

After Mems, we drove over to Dallie and Papa's for another treat extravaganza. The kids collected their goods and we all had a late dinner of pizza and a variety of snacks. Everyone definitely had a long and exciting day and the kids passed out as soon as they hit their car seats for the ride home.

Here are some pics from the eventful evening:
