A real Dad

It’s not so common anymore
to have a dad who’s really there,
who is the provider for his family,
who comes home every night,
whose predictability
creates a sense of stability and security
in his household.
Your routine may not seem valuable to you,
but it’s worth a lot to us.

We're thankful that we can depend on you
to always be you--
a real father,
responsible, trustworthy,
and a great role model.

We’ve learned a lot of good things
from watching you.

Thanks, Dad.

Fireworks, Family and Friends

Another 4th of July comes and goes.

The beauty of the light.
The electric in the night.

It's all about family, fun and friends.

And Relaxation.

Seeing the excitement and curiosity in your children's eyes.

It's truly a day when priceless moments are created, shared and remembered.

Hoping your 4th of July was as magical as it was for all of us!

Plum Island

Now that the weather is getting warmer we like to travel to one of our favorite beaches, Plum Island.  Plum Island is well known for its beauty and most of it is a nature preserve with many different rare birds and animals.  Ryan and I like to spend our time relaxing in the sun while Rylan likes to spend much of his time running along the shoreline and chasing seagulls.  One of the biggest mistakes we made was giving him a cracker to throw at one of the gulls.  One gull turned to a horde of angry birds, fighting for food and attacking our lunches.  Lesson was learned to hide crackers from Rylan on future beach outings. Arianna is a little easier to please.  She just finds a stick and draws in the sand with it for hours.  I wish I was that easily entertained.

I just love summer and wish it would last forever.  Living in New England, the warm season is so short and the cold season, unbearably LONG.  We have to take advantage of this beautiful weather while we can.

Take us to the farm!

Periodically we like to visit the local farms on our free days.  The kids love watching the variety of animals and playing on all the farm equipment.  We just love watching how excited they get as they explore new surroundings.  There is nothing like a beautiful day, taking in fresh air and spending time as a family.  I wish we had more time for days like these.

These are pictures taken from Smolak Farms, located in Andover.

Daddy's favorite part of the visit, ICE CREAM!
