The Graduate

After three years of preschool, my big girl graduates to kindergarten.  Our family was privileged to attend Arianna's graduation ceremony where her and her classmates sang beautiful songs, collected their diploma and snacked on yummies with close family and friends.  It is hard to believe my girl is already 5.5 years old.  Still a little girl in my heart, I know she is growing up before our very eyes.  We are so proud of you, wonderful Arianna!  Just don't grow up too fast.

Remember When...

Happiness was as simple as a dandelion?

I miss those days.  I am so fortunate to be able to view life through my children's eyes and experience their curiosity, youth, and innocence each and everyday. They find beauty in the simplest of things - even in a weed. It reminds me that in my chaotic and busy world, I need to pause a moment and reflect on the little things that I take for granted.  Thank you to my children for making my life so much more beautiful.

Project Runway - LPDC 2011

Arianna has completed her third year of dance at LPDC.  This year she was performing Jazz to the song, "Big Bad Wolf" and of course she was little red riding hood decked out in a beautiful red little number.  The theme of the recital was Project Runway (I am not really sure what that has to do with  the big bad wolf but it was cute non-the-less).

The entire family showed up for her performance on Saturday night at the Lowell High School.  Arianna came out on stage and instantly looked for our location in the audience which caused her to loss a bit of her focus but she was still quite the little dancer and did a bang up job!  I, however, have to admit that the best part of the show was the finale because Arianna came out on stage and was first row center of all the dancers in the show (approx 100 students).  Right as the owner of the dance studio started to make her speech to conclude the event, Arianna busted out a few moves of her own which made the audience go wild.  She definitely stole the show!
