Little Artists

The house has been a miserable mess this past week. The entire family came down with the stomach virus once again. We were plagued three weeks ago and it came back, only this time ten fold. We sorely needed to get out of the house so yesterday we went shopping for what I am not sure of. We picked the kids up a couple of items at Targets (the store I cannot leave without spending at least $100-sad but true). Arianna, who now has an extreme passion for arts and crafts, demanded we get her an art box full of paints and other various supplies. As I put the box in the cart a little voice kept saying, "BAD IDEA... MESS, MESS, MESS!" But seeing as I am such a pushover when it comes to my kids, I compromised with myself and thought if I asked Ryan and he agreed to it then I would go ahead with the purchase. Okay, I should know that Ryan is worse than I am when it comes to spoiling the kids, but this is what I had to tell myself in order justify the situation. As soon as we got home the kids ripped into the art box and painted their little hearts out. Yes, the mess was about as bad as I thought, but it is all worth it to see the smile on their faces.

Check out Arianna's morning hair... Okay, who am I kidding? It always looks like this.

This looks like so much fun, Holly! You are one great mommy!! I agree, it always takes some convincing (myself) to take out the paints, but the boys LOVE doing it. And sweet little Arianna looks JUST LIKE YOU! OMG!! I can't get over it! They are both just darling!

I hope you're all feeling better. This winter has been long---bring on spring!

p.s. I always spend waaaay more than I intend to at Target, too. Oops!! hahaha
