Little Critter Cruise

A weekend of sun meant that we could get away to the "little house" as Arianna likes to call it. Friday night we packed up and headed to Cape Cod for a little family time. Saturday we took the kids to Provincetown and walked around the crowded streets. The smell of the salt air and fried foods was really nostalgic of the beach days I had as a child. In search of something to do, we finally came across the opportunity to board a critter cruise that was only an hour and 15 minutes and was a great little trip around the harbor as well as a marine biology lesson for the young ones. Arianna was so excited to be on the boat but Rylan decided to have a two year old moment and proceed to have a major meltdown as we departed for the sea. I spent most of the time trying to hold Rylan down from climbing on the chairs and trying to throw himself overboard while screaming at the top of his tiny lungs... but... sigh... it was well worth the time and energy as Arianna loved every moment of the cruise. Thank god it was only a little over an hour as I may have thrown myself overboard.

How fun! Holly, you are a great mom and I love reading your blog because you're so honest and real. William has been having LOTS of those 2-year old moments (before he's even two-sigh), so I had to laugh as I can totally relate. It looks like both Arianna and Rylan had a great time in these pictures. They're such beautiful children!

Do you guys have a house in Cape Cod? How special for the kids to have "a little house" to get away to!

Thank you Christina! You are so sweet... and a wonderful mother yourself. I will be happy when the tantrum phase is over... unfortunately, I heard it lasts into their teens.

Ryan's parents have a place in the Cape that we all visit during the summer. It is a nice little summer home and it is a great getaway spot to jet to at spur of the moment when we need a break.
